Samoan Information Report

For this writing we have to write about Samoa.Or anyone Samoa like an artist that you like or it can even someone you know from Samoa. 

There are a lot of Samoan artists and stuff but the most famous hip hop artist i could find is Savage and other Hip hop Artists like Drew Deezy and many more. But there are not just Hiphop Artists but there are Rugby players that are Samoan. The most famous Samoan Rugby players I could find are Alapati Leiua Fritz lee and heaps more. Even Miss Tele’a son Tanielu Tele’a plays for the blues in Rugby.  

I hope you also found out a lot of stuff about Samoa like I did. But there are still a lot of things to find out about Samoa. I hope you can learn more about.

school reflection

 Last week the year eights went to their camp at Thames on the other hand the year eights that stayed back went over to the junior classes. 

I was  a bit unsure of where to go but afterwards I found out that I have to go to room 18 with the juniors.  After I entered room 18 I saw all the kids and I knew I had to be a good role model and set a good example for them. Tuakana teina means a relationship with an older sibling or younger sibling or person so I had to be the older person and be a good leader. 

 On Thursday I helped them  read their books with them and did a Math quiz with them and helped them out with their numbers and reading. After that i just  finished some work  then watched a movie. The rest of the day I just read books and tried to finish some work but sometimes  

On Friday in the afternoon they held an activity day where all the kids played some activities like throwing the gumboot throw or kicking and throwing the ball. After that we just watched more movies and had free time like playing games or with the toy. That was the last day of being in the junior class

 Last week when the year eights went to camp the year eights that stayed behind got sent over to the junior classes. When we went to the junior classes we had to be a good role model and set an example for the little kids and help them out. Some of the kids would sometimes mock you but you just have to be the older brother and tell them to focus because kids can be annoying.

Rotuman Language week Information Report

Noa’ia! That’s hello in the Rotuman language. My information report  today will share with you some important facts about Rotuma.

 Rotuma is located in the southern hemisphere  next to Samoa, Fiji, Tuvalu, And Vanuatu.

Most people from Rotuma live in Fiji  there are also more people from Rotuma that live in Fiji than their own island.

 Rotuma is about 586 kilometres away from Fiji which is probably why most  Rotumans live on Fiji.

In Rotuma the population is only about less than 2,000 people on the island.

That’s because 10,000 of them live in Fiji rather than rotuma.
 It is said to be that rotuma has 300 islands in rotuma and 540 islets scattered 1,000,000 square miles.

Languages spoken on Rotuma are English and Rotuman. But sadly their Rotuman language is classified as endangered.

Which means their language could disappear. As an endangered they have only about 5,000-7,500 speakers in Fiji and on there island 
Rotuma can teach you how to hold your own culture because your language could be endangered and disappear.
